Last week Inia checked in at the opening of the new Plantronics office for Europe and Africa. The new building is situated in Hoofddorp in the Netherlands and is definitely fully equipped.
We were welcomed in their office and started they day with a presentation about the heritage of Plantronics and the design of the new building. They offered us some insights in the planning phases they went through and afterwards invited us to take a look in the new offices.
Starting at the ground floor you are welcomed by the visual equivalent of the soundscaping they have going on in their office. This is a new technology where they play natural sounds, for example running water or autumn leaves blowing in the wind, in the office environment to decrease the noise level.
If you move up to the 1st floor, you will get the chance to see how they design and support their products, making use of their wall of ears. They even let you walk in to their UC Lab where they test the compatibility of the headsets with the most common brands.
On the top floor you get more engaged with the products as you see their headsets all lined up in and on their headset wall of fame. In their state of the art board room, they show you that the new way of working is incorporated in their company’s philosophy.
To round up we felt the coziness of the buildings habitat when we all walked on to the terrace to join the Plantronics team for a drink with a view on the water and the surrounding buildings.
We experienced the effort that Plantronics put into their products and the knowledge they have in compliance with the research they do. We thank Plantronics for their hospitality and wish the team nothing but success in their new office!
